I hate Video Games! Was suffering through them part of my plan ?

Well another week or whatever since I last slogged through a decent amount of games, and I did not finish one. Mostly because they suck! So here's my ramblings. Also Amazing Spider-man 2 is God tier, get to watching one person who reads this!
I only played through the third game in it's entirety, but everyone claims that it was the worst. LIES! It was the BEST! The second one isn't bad, just boring and stupidly difficult! I was along for the dull and uninspiring ride til it got difficult. Every random grunt took 20 hits to kill, and I was sick of that shit. So after dying 40 times or so I quit. My time it too precious to waste on such a bland turd. Afterwards I knew it was time to call it quits. Some things just can't be helped. 3/10. Why does everyone love this series again.
There will never be a good Harry Potter game. Well, that really covers the whole novel series and it's sense of exploration. I was told by the internet pundits that this was close to that, and it was . . . sort of. The game is cute, you play as Lego characters that speak in grunts and groans, and do things Harry and the gang did! The problem is those things are boring, and the controls to do them are even worse.  I was really looking forward to spending sometime at Hogwarts, but my hopes and dreams were expertly dashed. 4/10.

When I first heard about this game, I almost went out and bought a PS3. Not even joking, my blind loyalty towards the Persona team almost did me in. Luckily I waited, and was disappointed for free. The game follows a dude unwilling to commit to his girlfriend who he just knocked up. He then goes home with a random slag, and begins to have nightmares. During these nightmares you get to climb and move blocks in this puzzle game. The problem is this game is the Dark Souls of puzzle games. You will die graphically many, many times. There is even boss levels where you get to climb with a beast after you. I made it roughly half way before dying many times on a boss, and saying fuck it, I'll watch the end on YouTube. 5/10
I have always had a soft spot for Harvest Moon. My brother and I adored the Gameboy one back in the day, and I was horribly addicted to the 64 one like an old wino to a drink. To this day I try and recapture the magic I found in the earlier game. This one isn't so bad, it's just really dull. You get to farm and connect two town together! They hate each other, but by you making delicious foods you can bring them together! The town is tiny, and the main area for exploration is the mountains. The area is huge, and you will find the majority of your time is spent wandering in the mountains, which can be monotonous. I think you can get married, but there are so few candidates it's pointless. The days are long,  so there is plenty of time to wander in the mountains foraging for things to sell. The main thing that irks me in the bulletin board. This is how you get everything, from house upgrades to farmings tools. It's a bit stupid really. 6/10
I played this game on a rec from my brother, who clearly loves games like this. Between Dark Souls and this, I should know he loves fantasy adventure games. A genre I'm not such a fan of , which I have learned by now. You heart gets stolen by a Dragon, and it's up to you to get it back! It took me an hour to figure out how to leave the village. Yeah, dropped. Plus too much Dogma, not enough Dragons. No score because it might have gotten better.
I had heard great things about this game. You would think by now though that I would know that everyone is a liar. I heard it went to shit midway, but I was bored by the first chapter.  The game looks like some bastard spin off of the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series, at least design wise. The plot is your typical JRPG fair, though I got bored and only quit playing because I kept dying. A dragon that guards magic thread (Gay dragon ?) and it wrecked my shit six ways to Sunday. I grinded, bought new gear, and called it quits.  My brother bought the game, so it was free for me! 3/10

I love Harvest Moon 64. I was playing the DS game, and wondered why wasn't I playing the superior Harvest Moon ? The game looks like shit, and the world is severely limited, but I can never put this shit  down.  There's something addicted about growing crops, tending to your farm, and adding onto your house. I was chopping wood into the wee hours of the morning, watering crops all day, and scavenging for things to sell in the woods. It was awesome! My guy always married Karen because there's a glitch where you talk to her holding your dog, she'll fall for you! It works like that in real life, try it out!  I got bored once I built the greenhouse and was married, but I'll probably play it tomorrow. Or read Avengers comics all day. It's a tough call.  Anyway even if the villagers are dull, and the graphics suck, this game is almost as addictive as cocaine. The Playstation version is almost as good, and the super Nintendo one isn't bad.  99/10!

I played the first Dark Cloud as well, but I kept mysteriously dying, so it was dropped quickly. That said I enjoyed the sequel a bit more, well for a few hours anyway. Dark Cloud 2 is essentially a dungeon crawler. You fight monsters, and one of them holds the key to the next level. Beat him and move one, and occasionally there is a boss fight. Sometimes you even leave the dungeons, to create new things, which is pretty cool. The graphics are nice, and I enjoyed the game enough to keep playing. Then I got to the dwarves. And the future girl. And the talking homosexual giant fish god. I could even tolerate all that, but then they made me time travel on top of everything ? I don't have time for that shit. Dropped. I just wanted to fight monsters and have fun! Why you do this to me ? The dwarves had a flying fortress thing too that I needed to power. Awesome. 4/10
