Master Grade Hi-Nu Version Ka! The original Strike Freedom

I don't think I've ever covered it on here, but when I was in my teens I was a Gundam Fanboy. I had seen every series multiple times (Except Turn A) and all I wanted were Gundam Models. I basically bought the coolest designs from each series, and out of the UC series, my favorite design was the Nu Gundam. I was always on the fence about the Hi-Nu though, he wasn't even animated!  But they announced the Hi-Nu version Ka, I finally caved and pre-ordered him. Now I've assembled him, and he is glourious!

The box is much bigger than Unicorn's. It contains more kit trees, and a stand! YAY! He was actually an easier build despite the larger piece count, mainly due to many of them being Fin Funnels, and parts to the stand.

Fifteen Kit trees and a huge sheet of stickers! Oh fuck, they're water decals ? Fuck me sideways, I usually toss those out because they are too much of an asspain. Looks like I'll have to do a few for the shield and the Fin Funnels. Now 5 or so hours later and the tips of my fingers racked with pain . . .

Cluster fuck ahoy!

Yes! He is beautiful! This kit wasn't as hard as Unicorn, but the water decals were brutal. I fucked most of them up, but don't look to closely and you won't notice. I really detest water decals. They rip, tear, and crinkle so easily, but the Fin Funnels would look like shit otherwise. The stand is in the symbol of that apepars on the original Nu Gundam's shield, and this guys as well. It comes with sticks to attach the fin funnels for fun action poses.  The only real issues I have with this kit are as follows:
1.Shipping is a bitch.
2.Water Decals!
3. The backpack is too heavy.
The backpack has way too much going on, and doesn't attach to well on top of that. Still, this is a really cool kit. He can even wield dual forearm light sabers like Unicorn! The cockpit opens too, same as every Master Grade.
I really do like this kit, so I shall give MG Hi-Nu an 8/10. Hopefully you can find it somewhere without Rape Shipping. Still my personaly hatred of Water decals knock off a pint too. Expect Figma Ryuuko, Beach Queen's Ryuuko, Midas Iron Revoltech, and Charizard X model kit on here at some point in the next month.Group shot!

Master Grade Gundam Unicorn Footage Edition. Truly she is a beast of an animal to build and tame

I finally forced myself through Gundam Unicorn last month, and bought myself the Master Grade kit to commemorate it. The series was alright, but I watched it while playing FF 14 since this was my fourth attempt to plow through it. The dub certainly helped so my full focus wasn't on it, so I could not have to pay complete attention to a story Gundam has told me many times over and over. War is bad, M'kay? Anyway the kit came with Archer a few days back, but I was busy playing through Jet Set Radio Future.Last night after coming home from another monotonous day of school and coming off an energy drink high, I attempted to build this beast. It was a brutal trial in patience, and sanity.

I knew the gimmick of switching on the Unicorn's Newtype Destroyer mode and essentially moving every panel would make this kit difficult, I just didn't know how bad it would be. I had hopes and dreams of this kit being awesome, what I eneded up with was a mess of glue and broken dreams,

There's about 20 kit trees here, and quite honestly I have no idea how long it took me to assemble. The time blurred together into hours upon hours of suffering. Especially because I was tired, and the kit kept frustrating me. I pushed forward, with pieces breaking and focus fading, until the upper half as complete. Then I slept and resumed completing the kit in the morning. I even applied the stickers! Not the water decals, fuck those bitches side ways. Here's the complete product.

He doesn't look too shabby in off mode, though he doesn't exactly hide his glowing red plastic pieces well. Still, he can barely hold his shield, and the gun will not stay in his hand. I fucked up the ankle, so that's a bit of an issue too. Now let's fire up that NewType Destroyer mode!

It certainly looks cool, but the photos don't show how much of a bitch he was to transform, and how many of his peices are close to falling off. Many pieces are connected by tiny fragile clips that broke for me. The ankle is fucked and held together with glue, and he cannot hold his gun for the life of him. He does have a cool beam saber forearm thing though! Hooray! The panels often pop off while trying to slide them, and the rest of his connected bits with collapse in your hand. It's extremely frustrating. I shattered his arm on the ground in frustration and many times thought of just trashing this kit. But, I persevered, and completed his NTD mode. I really do hate this kit though, it felt like a chore to build, and it was stupidly complicated. I'm beginning to realize I hate newer Master Grade kits, the engineering isn't as solid and feels overly complex. Like Ban Dai wan'ts style of substance, and you to buy multiple kits because yours keeps breaking. I don't think I'll be buying another Master grade unless It's from G Gundam or Altron from Wing. Anyway MG Unicorn gets a 3/10, it looks cool, but what a piece of shit it is.

Figma 223 Archer aka EMIYA! DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!!

Unlike most people who seem to have gotten into the Fate series with Zero, I'm an old fag who played the Visual novel back in 2008. Ever since I played it, my favorite character has been Archer, with Gilgamesh and Shirou being close seconds. Shirou got a Figma back in 2009, which was my first Figma and first trip down the slippery slope of buy fagging.  Gilgamesh got a Chogokin a year or so ago, which just left Archer in Figma development hell. They unveiled a Figma 2.0 Archer at winter Wonderfes, and Neckbeard rejoiced. I'm sure the reason Archer left development hell was the upcoming Unlimited Blade Works anime, which I am also beyond grateful for. Now how beautiful is he?

What a sexy box! This is the first new Figma I've gotten since Miku 2.0, nothing been worth my time. Fuck Attack on Titan. The box is a bit more aesthetic, but I prefer the cartoony weaboo colors of the older Figma. That sexy Archer saves the box design of course. Awww yesssss.

Archer comes with what you would expect, his legendary Kansho and Byakuya, Caladbolg, a bow (LOL) some hands,  an angry face, and a stand. First off though, the sculpt here is gorgeous. The colors are vibrant, especially the red on his coat, and the details on his outfit. His white hair almost glows with magnificence, and he radiates badassery all around. Now let's see some dynamic poses.

In space, legs are just for show!

Can you keep up?
Archer has some amazing poseability, combined with his cloak movement, he is probably the coolest figure I own, (Not including statues). He's beyond cool, and any fan of Archer/ Fate/ Cool figures needs him. I own two for reasons I refuse to disclose. Now here's some fighting pictures.

He looks great with the rest of his crew, though he makes Shirou's plain ass look even blander. Gilgamesh and him look smashing together, as he does with Rin. Figma Archer- 10/10!
