The mediocre to bad games I've been playing as of late.

No intro, I'm tired and have more blogs to write. Probably.
I went into this game excepting a Persona like experience, and I did . . .  without any of the fun! You start the game as God's Gift, a pimp with high spirit levels who has been chosen to attend an elite academy with other elites who have super powers. You fight evil, and your powers fade before you become an adult. Sound cliched and stupid? You just described this game perfectly! They crammed as many anime cliches as possible into it. Broken lead ? Check. Funy best friend ? Check. Every Harem and slice of Life cliche crammed in whether it makes sense or not ? Definitely. The big thing about this game is class mating, which means you do the hot and sweaty act of holding hands to create star chilren. This might be exciting if all the girls didn't look like dopey K-on rejects with even less in the way of personality. The star children are annoying too, they have low level caps so you have to keep making more, which start at level 1, and equipping them. You are constantly broke when you get up to a full team of 10 people. This sound shitty, but it gets worse. You spend most of your time slogging through multi leveled dungeons full of stupidly strong enemies that never fucking end. Unless you're some sort of masochist, there is no reason to play this. 3/10.
I grew up on Dragon Ball Z, and to this day enjoy it. The anime and manga that is. Personally I feel the game series peaked at Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and went downhill, with Burst Limit bring the only non shit one since. This game however, is awful. You're given a team of four people, and of those four people exactly one of them is useful, the one you're playing at.The rest of them fly randomly around doing nothing. The problem is the enemy also gets a team of four who know exactly what to do- kick your ass. The game involves flying around trying to charge your special attack, using said special attack, and escaping. The problem is there is one main enemy, and 3 grunts. Often times you have to fight an endless number of grunts while taking out the big bad who often revives for no reason. I thought because this game was Japanese developed it would be a change from the usual dreck, it's actually worst. I quit after fighting endless waves of Freiza's henchmen on Namek. Dropped! 2/10
There is exactly one game in the Rune Factory series that does not suck, and that is 4. It will not be mentioned until the next paragraph. Rune Factory is a spin off of Harvest Moon, which if you like Harvest Moon, hopefully you would enjoy this series. And you might, if you are retarded. The series take the Harvest Moon farming and adds fighting monsters to it. That's really it for 1-3, you grind on the farm and then grind on monsters. They don't add to the story, and it's just a time waster. You can go on adventures in the limited world, but why would you? There's not much to  see, and gear is pricey. Rune Factory Tides of Destiny is different from this formula, and in a bad way. The farming is gone, all automated by your monsters. You and your friend are merged into a single body and sent to another world. Every just accepts that there is two people in one body as if you were telling them you got a haircut. Then you get a Golem to wander around to other islands to fight monsters. Yeah, awesome. It's no longer a shitty Harvest Moon spin off, it's just a terrible RPG. Overall- 2/10
I actually bought this game because I knew Rune Factory 4 would be special. And it was! The story begins with your character falling out of an airship and losing his memory. You land on a Dragon who befriends you, and pose as a prince to protect the real prince. as the story continues, you learn you were attacked by your homeland because you were a threat to the big bad. Yes, it actually has a story! The best thing about this game is the characters, they actually have personality! There's town events, which help flesh out the stories. The issues though is that during these events, you can't take any of the characters on adventures. Yes, you can take potential suitors out to fight, and any townsfolk really. There's plenty of skills to learn, and so much fun to be had. Personally though, I mostly used the monsters like they were my slaves. They can water your plants, and make the best battle companions. Near the end I stood in the corner during boss battles and acted as a healer while my monsters tanked that beast. There is a third arc of the story which sounds like a tower of grinding, so I avoided it, but I might return someday to conquer it. My guy did marry Forte after all, they should pop out a young un. 9/10
I actually paid money for Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, so I feel I am entitled to hate it with a passion. The demo seemed pretty cool, but the game is fucking brutal. You are a create a character in a small town who basically accepts missions and completes them. The missions however are boring, and repeat through the same areas endlessly, with the same villains. The game isn't ahrd until you get to any of the bosses, and the problem begin to burn into your eyes like the blazing sun. The bosses are huge, which already make the fights difficult. You are paired with companions you have to pay to be there, and die extremely quickly in the boss battles. To fight these giants, you have to get behind them, which is hard enough with the camera. The camera only focuses on what you're looking at, so you have to get behind it turn around, and angle the camera. By this point, the enemy is now facing you, and most likely about to kill you with one of his broken moves.
The guy above is the worst offender in the game. He can fall on you, paralyze you and then fall on you, wildly swing  and fall on you, all of which can one shot your character.  When you're hit in this game, you take knock back damage too, so essentially you have to take double the damage, and are unable to recover until you've taken you knock back damage. By this point the boss in on you ready to rape you anew. Beating a boss isn't a sense of accomplishment either, because they recolor them, bring them back, and make them harder. I fought he same bosses three times and I was only halfway through the game. You spend most of the game collecting junk, which hopefully you can use to upgrade you weapons and armor. Don't worry, even when you have hundreds of pieces of junk, you're always missing the few you need, and they change with every upgrade. -12/10,fuck thsi shit ass game.
I thought I loved the first Jet Set Radio, having found memories of it on the Dreamcast. The Cel shading was cool, the music was great, and the game had style. The problem is you have to play this game. I bought the HD post of the Sony store, and suffered through the entire game. You character controls like a tank on ice skates. You're slow, clunky, and cannot aim for shit. In a game about moving fast and pulling off slick moves to spray paint this is suffering. Everything in this game was difficult. A hard to reach tag point? I hope you like pulling off the same move 30 times til the game decides to take mercy and angle you the 3 degrees closer you need to be. Trying to chase someone ? Good luck, you'll never be that fast or smooth. You want to grind that rail? Nope, you're going to just miss it, fall off early on, or smack yourself on it. I got to the final boss, and all I had left to do was grind up a rail and tag him. I have 3 minutes and the controls wouldn't let me get anywhere near him. On the off chance I got near that rail, I would have no momentum and fall right off. Why didn't Sega just jack the perfect version of the system from Jet Set Radio Future? No one knows, but despite paying on $10 I feel ripped off. 2/10
My brother had been telling me to play this game for over a year and was underwhelmed. I enjoyed the XenoSaga games enough, even though you essentially fought bosses and then watched two hours of cutscenes. It had some cool ideas, it just felt like a movie, not a game. This game has the same problem, with the addition of a new one, it's boring. Your characters all have British  accents for whatever reason, and live in a world where Machine men are attacking. No, it's not the Terminator RPG I'd love ever so much, but  another boring JRPG. You get the sword on the cover, the Monado, which allows the bearer to see the future and defeat machine men with faces. Yeah, I was entralled too. You basically wander from place to place and watch cut scenes, and if you aren't using anew game plus (What I did) then this game is a solid 80 hours if not more of boredom. You follow an arorw on the screen, but the arrow disappears if the story advances, so essentially if you need it, the arrow is missing. It gets even worse when you get to the city where you teleport everywhere. It's where the game wen from boring to frustrating, and I quit. I think I was about halfway through. If you're autistic and you enjoy boring things, you'll love this game.

I hate Video Games! Was suffering through them part of my plan ?

Well another week or whatever since I last slogged through a decent amount of games, and I did not finish one. Mostly because they suck! So here's my ramblings. Also Amazing Spider-man 2 is God tier, get to watching one person who reads this!
I only played through the third game in it's entirety, but everyone claims that it was the worst. LIES! It was the BEST! The second one isn't bad, just boring and stupidly difficult! I was along for the dull and uninspiring ride til it got difficult. Every random grunt took 20 hits to kill, and I was sick of that shit. So after dying 40 times or so I quit. My time it too precious to waste on such a bland turd. Afterwards I knew it was time to call it quits. Some things just can't be helped. 3/10. Why does everyone love this series again.
There will never be a good Harry Potter game. Well, that really covers the whole novel series and it's sense of exploration. I was told by the internet pundits that this was close to that, and it was . . . sort of. The game is cute, you play as Lego characters that speak in grunts and groans, and do things Harry and the gang did! The problem is those things are boring, and the controls to do them are even worse.  I was really looking forward to spending sometime at Hogwarts, but my hopes and dreams were expertly dashed. 4/10.

When I first heard about this game, I almost went out and bought a PS3. Not even joking, my blind loyalty towards the Persona team almost did me in. Luckily I waited, and was disappointed for free. The game follows a dude unwilling to commit to his girlfriend who he just knocked up. He then goes home with a random slag, and begins to have nightmares. During these nightmares you get to climb and move blocks in this puzzle game. The problem is this game is the Dark Souls of puzzle games. You will die graphically many, many times. There is even boss levels where you get to climb with a beast after you. I made it roughly half way before dying many times on a boss, and saying fuck it, I'll watch the end on YouTube. 5/10
I have always had a soft spot for Harvest Moon. My brother and I adored the Gameboy one back in the day, and I was horribly addicted to the 64 one like an old wino to a drink. To this day I try and recapture the magic I found in the earlier game. This one isn't so bad, it's just really dull. You get to farm and connect two town together! They hate each other, but by you making delicious foods you can bring them together! The town is tiny, and the main area for exploration is the mountains. The area is huge, and you will find the majority of your time is spent wandering in the mountains, which can be monotonous. I think you can get married, but there are so few candidates it's pointless. The days are long,  so there is plenty of time to wander in the mountains foraging for things to sell. The main thing that irks me in the bulletin board. This is how you get everything, from house upgrades to farmings tools. It's a bit stupid really. 6/10
I played this game on a rec from my brother, who clearly loves games like this. Between Dark Souls and this, I should know he loves fantasy adventure games. A genre I'm not such a fan of , which I have learned by now. You heart gets stolen by a Dragon, and it's up to you to get it back! It took me an hour to figure out how to leave the village. Yeah, dropped. Plus too much Dogma, not enough Dragons. No score because it might have gotten better.
I had heard great things about this game. You would think by now though that I would know that everyone is a liar. I heard it went to shit midway, but I was bored by the first chapter.  The game looks like some bastard spin off of the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series, at least design wise. The plot is your typical JRPG fair, though I got bored and only quit playing because I kept dying. A dragon that guards magic thread (Gay dragon ?) and it wrecked my shit six ways to Sunday. I grinded, bought new gear, and called it quits.  My brother bought the game, so it was free for me! 3/10

I love Harvest Moon 64. I was playing the DS game, and wondered why wasn't I playing the superior Harvest Moon ? The game looks like shit, and the world is severely limited, but I can never put this shit  down.  There's something addicted about growing crops, tending to your farm, and adding onto your house. I was chopping wood into the wee hours of the morning, watering crops all day, and scavenging for things to sell in the woods. It was awesome! My guy always married Karen because there's a glitch where you talk to her holding your dog, she'll fall for you! It works like that in real life, try it out!  I got bored once I built the greenhouse and was married, but I'll probably play it tomorrow. Or read Avengers comics all day. It's a tough call.  Anyway even if the villagers are dull, and the graphics suck, this game is almost as addictive as cocaine. The Playstation version is almost as good, and the super Nintendo one isn't bad.  99/10!

I played the first Dark Cloud as well, but I kept mysteriously dying, so it was dropped quickly. That said I enjoyed the sequel a bit more, well for a few hours anyway. Dark Cloud 2 is essentially a dungeon crawler. You fight monsters, and one of them holds the key to the next level. Beat him and move one, and occasionally there is a boss fight. Sometimes you even leave the dungeons, to create new things, which is pretty cool. The graphics are nice, and I enjoyed the game enough to keep playing. Then I got to the dwarves. And the future girl. And the talking homosexual giant fish god. I could even tolerate all that, but then they made me time travel on top of everything ? I don't have time for that shit. Dropped. I just wanted to fight monsters and have fun! Why you do this to me ? The dwarves had a flying fortress thing too that I needed to power. Awesome. 4/10

Here's the rundown of what I'm going to attempt to play, and probably quit halfway.
1. 9  Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors.
2. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
3. Last of Us
4. Assasin's Creed 4 Black Flag
5. Dynasty Warrios Gundam 3
6. Zero's Escape Virtue's Last Reward
7. Mario & Luigi Dream Team
8. Dragon Ball Z : Attack of the Saiyans
9. Rune Factory 4
10. Radiant Historia
11. Conception II Children of the Seven Stars
12. Mario & Luigi Partners in Time
13. Mario & Luigi : Inside Bowsers Story
14. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
I played Okami, but it crashed during the intro, so I couldn't even attempt to write about it.Til next time!

I am not dead! I swear! Video game ramblings!

It's been almost two months since my last blog! School has been kicking my ass, and sucking the life out of me! I've had only the energy to work out, and play video games. I've been cutting back on toys lately, since money, while made of trees, does not grow on them! Depressing! So here's a blog about video games! YAY!

I bought an XBOX 360 because I found out they were $70! I know, what a deal! There was enough games on it to justify my purchase of one, especially when combined with Gamefly's free month trial. Here's what I played on it, and yes, all games are also on the PSTripple, but that fucker still goes for $150!

Final Fantasy XIII-2- It was a chore and a half to get through FF XIII, so I have no idea what compelled me to play this. I can honestly say it's the worst game I've ever completed. The final level with rotating block that you can barely jump pushed this turd to unimaginably awful heights. Lightning's sister and a guy named Noel jump through time, to save the world or something. Apparently everyone else can travel through time and not age, or just doesn't age, because you meet the cast of XIII throughout hundreds of years. This game is terrible, and the boss battles are broken wrecks. Just hammer endless, because if you try and heal, you are fucked. Especially during Caius' five seperate boss battles.

The final boss battle is Bahumut, who has two partners. If you kill them, he will just revive them and do a super move that will kill all of your party save Noel. I was just about to beat him when the game FUCKING FROZE!  So I said fuck it, I've spent almost and hour on this faggot, I'm watching the end on YouTube. Even Serah Dying could not make up for the awful game. 0/10

Lightning Returns- You think after suffering through FF XIII-2, I would have learned to not fucking touch another Final Fantasy game in the XIII series. You would be wrong! I could barely take an hour of this shit. Apparently Lightning is the Savior of the world, put there by God to save the souls of humanity before the world ends. Apparently everyone is immortal too, because why the fuck not ? Lightning and Hope live together in a spaceship above the earth,  and Lightning travels to earth to wander around helping people with their mundane lives. Awesome. 0/10

Lollipop Chainsaw- Why did I play this game again ? It was terrible! I even beat it somehow! It's one of the most sexually charged games I've ever played, and that brings it down completely. You're an 18 year old cheerleader who kills zombies on the side. Why the fuck not! The problem here is the levels are about an hour each, and dear god, do they drag. Fuck that shit!  She carries around her boyfriend's decapitated head too, since that's just what you do! The female lead comes from an annoying ass family who shows up so they can make even more bad jokes about her wacky sisters. Awesome. 2/10

Fable Anniversary Edition- I liked the third one, but this remake had too many technical issues for me to get into it. I understand all of the characters look like the worst British Slag you'd find in the back alleys of England, but the game was just so muddy looking, and the camera swung so wildly it hurt my head. It didn't help the voices were laggy, the lead looks like a product of incest, and the game kept chugging. There was also some weird feedback running on the bottom of the screen. The whole game made me nauseous. Sorry Fable, onto your brother, Fable 2 someday soon!

Sonic Generations- They haven't made a playable Sonic game since Adventure two, and a good one in even longer, so this was a pleasant surprise. Sonic from the past must team up with present Sonic to beat two Dr. Robotniks/ Eggmans. You play revamps of classic levels, and I really loved the music. The issue was the last two level and final two boss fights were painful. One of the levels involved giant fiery tornadoes that made every jump excruciating,  The other level involved rockets fucking every to accomplish anything, it got old FAST. Combine this with the fact that to access the boss levels you had to go through beaten levels and do a special mission, and you get a game full of wasted potential. Still, I did enjoy the first 2/3rds enough. 7/10

Resident Evil 6-  I loved Resident Evil 4, so a game with Leon as the lead is a must have. Too bad they had to give three other characters a route, and they were virtually unplayable.  Chris and his partner's levels played like an awful Call of Duty Clone, and I didn't give a fuck about Wesker's kid and Sherry. Leon teams up with a young Mariska Hargitay to plow through Resident Evil 4 if Michael Bay was in charge. Needless to say, it was fucking awesome. The game was half quicktime events, and half explosions. It contains exploding planes, helicopters, Tanker Trucks loaded with Gasoline, and killing bosses with exploding barrels. I loved it! I played the PC version after it came out, but it contained a game ending glitch  where Leon died after meeting Chris. This pissed em off immensely and I wasn't far off from the end. Still, a few weeks back I saw the Xbox 360 version up for $6 and caved. It was definitely worth that, and not much more. 3/10 overall, 8/10 for Leon's route.

Persona 4 Arena: I loved Persona 3 and 4, but this game was boring. The characters from 3 and 4 are pulled into a game where they fight because of misunderstandings. There's also an impersonator orchestrating the whole event! To make it even worse, you can't just finish a character's story, you have to go through with everyone to unlock it, then go back to finish a story you probably don't remember.  It's basically a dull visual novel with a decent fighting mixed in, but that is few and far in between. 3/10

Since I have a boss computer, I feel I must get the most out of it as I possibly can! So here's my run down yo!

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - You think I'd be gun shy about this after the terrible Thirteen trilogy, but it was on sale on gamestop.com for $15, and came with a thirty day free subscription! I was impressed and horribly addicted for the first week I played this. I barely slept or ate, didn't work out, all I wanted to do was grind. It's like World of Warcraft, except prettier. The Final Fantasy aesthetic has been applied to an MMO and it works well. The character creation is beautiful, and all of your favorite classes are there. I played a s a blue haired lancer, because I wanted to be a dragoon. They looked fucking sick! The  easiest way in the game to level up are FATEs. These are events that happen on the world map that anyone can join in. A low level can creep on in for a high level event, and net some sick experience and money. Combine that with dungeons and plenty of quests and you have an easy way to hit 50.

The main issues I have with it are that like most MMOs, the grinding gets monotonous around 40. My goal was to become a Dragoon and call it quits, but when you become a Dragoon they give you a fancy stone that changes your name tag to Dragoon. I was a scrub lancer, and not too happy with it. I hit 44 and just couldn't take it anymore. It felt like a job, and I am morally opposed to work. Still I had more that $15 worth of fun! 7/10

Dark Souls- A causal like me should have never attempted this. I died constantly, and it was miserable.  I could never call people because I was always hollowed, and everything raped my face. I called it quits around level 30 when I was hollowed, stuck in the middle of nowhere, and tree monsters would rape my face to death constantly. I couldn't even level because they were stronger than me and didn't even drop enough souls to be worth my trouble. Fuck this broken ass piece of shit in the ass. 2/10

Resident Evil 5- The series tradition to more of an action game didn't go over so well with most people, but I had plenty of fun with it. Chris Redfield has been hitting the steroids hard, and decides to head to Africa to kill black zombies. Why not right ? He's partnered with a black chick with some seriously retarded AI. I would tell her to run, and she would get stuck in the corner and get raped by zombies. Then I'd have to save her ass again. I would then beat her with my stun rod, because she didn't take damage, and she needed to know her place. One thing that was nice was that if you died at a boss you could restart it after buying a rocket launcher, and one hit kill almost every boss. Fuck yeah! You get to take out a giant monster with a satellite cannon too, awesome. This game does finally kill off Wesker, ending his love affair with Chris. Till Resident Evil 7 anyway. 7/10

Batman Arkham Asylum- It's like Resident evil, but with less zombies and more Batarangs! It had even more backtracking, which shouldn't be possible. Still, it's a cool game over all. You wander around as Batman using his toys and kicking ass. 7/10

Batman Arkham City- This time Batman must fight the Joker in the city of Gotham! The free roaming was super cool, but my main issue was too many gadgets, and there are criminals EVERYWHERE! Why does anyone want to live in this city again ?  The Catwoman chapters felt tacked on,  but they were a breast of fresh air. It's probably the best in the series. 8/10

Batman Arkham Origins- The story of when Bruce was just starting out! He has less gadgets, which is nice, and electric fighting gloves!  Too bad the bosses are rape, particularly Deathstroke. He was fucking hard! Especially for a boss so early in the game. Dude wrecked my shit so hard I almost rage quit. The final battle against Bane was broken too, he's so juiced up on Venom that you have to sneak up on him and hit him. Which is near impossible, and even when you manage to mack contact, it barely does any damage. You have to sneak up on this behemoth, not get raped, and hit him into electrified bars, and somehow keep doing this to beat him. What makes it so complicated is that he tears out most of your hiding spots, so you're pretty much fucked. I watched the end on YouTube. 5/10

South Park Stick of Truth- MUH nostalgia. I heard this game was great, and it was FUCKING AMAZING!!!  You get to play as a new kid who moved to South Park, and joins a side in the fight for the Stick of Truth. The game is hilarious, and contains jokes from earlier South Park episodes, back when it was funny. The part where they went to Canada almost  killed me. I love this game so much! 10/10

Fable 3- It's a generic WRPG that basically was good enough for me to not quit. I think I spent more time trying to apply a nude patch than playing it, the game is like 5 hours. You're a princess (or prince) that wants to take back her kingdom, and kill some vague evil. You do this by completing quests and hanging out.  You can get married and have sex, but I can do that in real life. I can't be a ruler of a Kingdom that fights DARKNESS! 6/10

I felt it was time to give Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door another go, and like the last time, I was disappointed. The game is disjointed and has backtracking out the ass. I called it quits during the search for the second star. That castle was made of broken dreams and boredom. The game had such a nostalgic feel, I really wanted to like it, but that was impossible. It didn't help that the codes I was using kept breaking the game. Fuck this!

I fired up two games I've had forever, one I loved initially, and one I just never got around to playing . Sadly, they both were disappointing.

The World Ends With You- It's pretty much a more stylistic version of Kingdom Hearts that takes place in Shibuya. The game does ana amazing jon making use of the touch screen, but the combat gets monotonous, and the characters never shut up! I made it to only a few days from the end, but just couldn't keep going.  There was too much text,  and I really didn't care anymore. This game does have some sweet moves and style, it just hasn't aged well in my opinion. 7/10, and Sho Minamimoto is too cool for this game.

Pokemon Heart Gold- I loved the original Pokemon, and I loved Pokemon X . . . because it reminded me of the original, and my team consisted of original characters. That wasn't an option hear, I was stuck with Pokemon I didn't give a fuck about, trudging through non nostalgia fueled areas. I made it to Lance's last Pokemon on the Elite Four, and was wiped out by his Aerodactyl. It somehow had moves that were super effective against everyone I had, and it attacked first! I ripped out the game, threw it at the wall, and haven't touched it since. 5/10. Now where my 3ds remake of Red ?

I don't see the point in reviewing game individually, because everyone and their mother does it. I'll probably do another blog or two like this during summer because my backlog is decently sized. Here's what I got:

Scooby Doo in Japan! Shin Megami Persona 4!

There will never be a game that pulls me in as much as Persona 3 and 4, I essentially put my life on hold while I play them. Everything else is shut out, I can deal with it later. I did do my homework and work every day, so I guess I don't shut out everything. Still, these two games rule my life to the point where I thought it was March, the day the game ends. I don't work so I'm sure that added to my confusion.
Person 4 is similar to its predecessor, Persona 3 in many regards. Through both you follow the life of a Japanese high School student who is tasked with fighting Shadows, and saving the world.  Though let's not get ahead of ourselves. There are a few links to Persona 3, such as visiting Gekkoukan High, and the character of Chihiro Fushimia appearing to briefly and giving a speech during your visit. She even mentions Mitsuru! President Tanaka, the salesman on television appears briefly too. Igor is still in the velvet room, though is former assistant Elizabeth is replaced by Margaret, due to the former trying to rescue a "Blue haired boy." This game takes place two years after Persona 3.

The cast by hair color Kanji (blond), Yu/MC (gray), Yosuke (brown), Teddie (bear suit), Naoto (blue) Rise (Auburn) Yuikiko black , and Chie (light brown). This couldn't fit in the caption. Anyway the game begins when the MC/Yu moves to a new town due to his parent's jobs. He lives with his uncle Dojima and his daughter Nanako in a small town. After picking him up, they stop at a gas station, where Yu meets a strange man, and feels ill afterwards. Shortly after his arrival, a series of murders begins. The murder victims all appear on the midnight channel, which only appears at midnight on a rainy day. Yu and his new found friends Yosuke, Chie and Yukiko all discover they can travel to the world of the Midnight channel by entering T.Vs, and summoning their Personas to fight back with the monsters inside. They fight to help the victims on the midnight channel face their true selves or Personas, and stop them from becoming murder victims.
Look at that cast! Holy dicks!
Now who's our main cast?
Yu Narukami- The hero, he moves to a new town and discovers his power of persona. He becomes the leader of your Scooby Doo gang.
Yosuke Hanamura- The son of the manager of Junes, which put most stores in the area out of business. He's your first friend and team mate in your new town.
Chie Santonaka- A tomboy who loves steak and martial arts movies. She bears a striking resemblance to Drake Bell.
Yukiko Amagi- Her family runs the local inn where to victim of the first murder happened.
Rise Kujikawa- The jailbait of the group who use to be an idol. She handles the tactics and planning of the group. The canon waifu if you ask me.
Kanji Tatsumi- A punk looking dude who loves to sew. He's often in trouble with the police due to his appearance.
Naoto Shirogane- A reverse trap police detective who's still in high school. Oh Japan.
Teddie- An empty bear suit that grows a body! He is revealed to be a shadow.
The game has the same basic battle system as three, with group attacks, but you can also directly command your team mates too. Another welcome change is the dungeons are separate, and not the same 200 plus floors of Tartarus. They range from an 8- bit castle to a strip club. Hot. another nice change is you can form social links will all over your team mates! I always though that was wasted potential in Persona 3. There are no reverse social links either, and you can date as many girls as you want. My lead was dating Rise, Yuikio and Chie, along with a few other girls by the time the game ended. Apparently they just don't mention those things to one another. You do have sex with one of them on Christmas Eve, or it's heavily implied anyway. Bom Chicka wow wow!
It's Mr. Garrison! M'kay

Everybody loves psp!

The main story of the game involves rescuing people throw in the T.V., and your team rescuing them. The majority of those you save join your cause, though a few are just evil. What the main plot point of the story is who is throwing people in the Television ? when you discover that, you wonder if that man could be the killer ? Brotip: the killer is Adachi, which barely makes sense. Though in the true ending, everything is revealed to be the work of the gas station attendant on the first day. He's Izanami, the final protagonist! You face him on the day before you leave town for good. The day is saved!
Golden Version, yes, the black haired guy in Kanji.

Regular version.
Now let's compare and contrast Persona 3 and 4!
Persona 3 Pluses- Better story, better character designs, better mood, cooler MC design.
Persona 3 Minuses- Social links from out of nowhere, Tartarus, and a depressing end.
Persona 4 Pluses- easier to play, more light hearted, happier ending, better social links, awesome dungeons.
Persona 4 minuses- lamer story (Scooby Doo in Japan), the final bosses are kind of a let down.
Still, to each his own.  I prefer 3, though only slightly.

Persona 4 Golden- The PSP Vita game maybe three people played, since who owns a Vita? From what I can tell the main differences are a few social links, Chie's voice actress changed( for the worse), and the gameplay extends through January and February. There's something about scooters, and you can explore Inaba at night too!Apparently there's some band event too (thank you you tube!) The main difference is an epilogue a year and a half after the end from the PS2 version. You return to Inaba to visit, and see how everyone has changed. Here's a link since I know you're dying to see it. After lurking on youtube for a bit, there is two new events with animated cut scenes! One is your gang playing music in front of Junes, the other is a Ski trip. Awesome.
Persona 4 The Animation- It's a straight adaption of the game. They retain the voice actors from the games, in both the dubs and sub. I haven't watched it dubbed yet though. It covers the true ending from the game. It's enjoyable to any fan of the series. It's a crying shame Persona 3 didn't get a full television series adaption.

So let's talk scores!
Persona 4 PS2- 9/10
Persona 4 Golden- ??/??
Persona 4 The animation- 7/10
