I believe I have written no less than 3 blogs where i claimed to be done with reviewing Figmas. Then Amiami shows me somethign pretty, and I buy it for cheap. The starts were aligned last week, and the three Lucky Star girls I did not have were all on Amiami, for roughly $15 each. I checked out like fist of the North Star, and now they are mine!

Yes, yes, kawaii school girls doing kawaii things. These are early Figmas, so i'm not expecting much anyway.

Wow, take a gander at that lack of accessories! Konata is awkward with her hair making getting in the way of her standing up straight while connecting to the stand. Miyuki is a bit better, and Tsukasa doesn't have that problem at all! Each figure comes with a single unique accessory and face.

Yeah, lame, but whatever. Anime figure collectors had lower standards back in 2008. Holy shit, that was 6 years ago, now I feel old. Time to Summon my Persona.  As you can tell from these pictures, Max Factory did not reuse the same body for all of them. I'm almost impressed.

Douche felt he was more photogenic than the girls.

Here they are in the adorable poses from the back of the boxes altogether! Darling Darling please! They do look great all together, I'm glad I bough them. The fun thing is I paid $50 for Kagami, while the rest of them were $45 combined. My life is pain and suffering. Anyway a solid 6/10 for all three of the girls, and a 10/10 for Douche. Too bad for you Douche is limited edition, and only I can have one.

G.E.M. Series - Digimon Adventure: Yamato "Matt" Ishida & Gabumon and Taichi "Tai" Kamiya & Agumon 1/10

As with any kid from the 90s, I grew up with Digimon.  So when these were announced, I knew I NEEDED them in my life. Plus the 1st editions came with a bonus face, and who doesn't love bonuses ?

    The figures were much smaller than I expected.  Then again, the only Megahosue G.E.M. figures I've owned were from Code Geass, and these were much cheaper. The boxes contain plenty of wasted space, and that bothers me as a dirty hippie who is all about saving the environment.

Up first is Tai, because he's better. WHY DIDN'T YOU CHOOSE HIM SORA???? Tai is very well sculpted and painted, though his hair is missing a chunk, due to that being the connecting spot for Agumon.

That's better. Bros for lyfe! Tai and Agumon both look as energetic and playful as they were during the series, color me impressed! Agumon looks like he's about to fly away though. Still, these are nice, especially since the Digimon D-arts line is deader than disco.

Gabumon comes attached to Matt in the package, so no apart shots. Especially since these two must never be separated, or Matt will be emo.Matt has some nice higlights, to the point where I caught a glance at his alternate head and though it was some else, like a super saiyan head. As with Tai, the sculpt on him and Gabumon is superb, and the embrace is cute.

   Here's the duo with their alternate faces, and the only other figures of them in existence. So now you must ask youself, am I a Digimon fan ? Do I want what are possibly the only good Matt and Tai figures in existance ? If the answers to both of those questions is yes, good luck tracking them down. The cheapest i can find for them is twice what I paid. Ouch.  Tai and Matt- 7/10.

Tokatsu Revoltech 049! Iron Man Mark 42.

Iron Man was a favorite movie of mine last summer, only eclipsed by Pacific Rim. I adored the Mark 42 from the first time I saw it, and as of writing this I own three incarnations of it's beautiful self. I have never owned a Sci Fi Revoltech, but when the Mark 42 was announced, I did not hesitate to pick one up.  It finally arrived yesterday, and here are my thoughts on the subject.

  The figure itself is bigger than the standard Revoltech, which is pretty nice. Height wise it is comparable to the Marvel Legends line.  Still there does seem to be a lack of accessories here.

    Yeah, there isn't much to say here. four hands, two effect parts, and a name plate, I'm blown away. The figure itself is beautiful, with a stunning paint job and amazing detail, but everything else suffers. The pose ability is okay, but it can not do the Iron-Man pose! WTF!

Above is the closest I could get. Another issue is on the back it shows the armor on some effect parts that are not included. I can only fathom that the text around it says "not included lololololol." Jap bastards!

  This is probably the best pose able Mark 42 in a non rape price range we will ever get, but at over twice the price of the Marvel Legends line version I expected more. It's a beautiful figure, but a bit over rpiced, and sparse on the accessories. Overall he gets a 6/10, for such an amazing paint job!

Dragon Quest - The Legendary Armor Returns -Tenku no Equipment Arc- Warning! Incoming turd!

Well you can't win them all, and this figure represents the lone turd in this lot. Well, that is debatable, because I wasn't impressed with the Revoltech 42, but still. This guy, the Hero from Dragon Quest 4 takes the shit filled pie. Dragon Quest 4 is probably my favorite game in the series. I loved the idea of playing as multiple people who later join up with the hero. It gives the story a different feel, one I enjoyed immensely. I wanted this figure to be good, like the Myth Cloth series from Saint Seiya. Price wise and the promo pictures lead me in the direction, and what I got was much different.

   The first thing i noticed was the face is kind of derpy. It's not polished or well sculpted, and looks like it's made of clay. The next thing was the box was extremely light, like there was nothing inside. That meant the armor was not metal, or even some solid plastic. When I took it out I was even more disappointed.

   The figure is extremely derpy, with loose joints, a cheap finish on the paint, and an overall lackluster feeling. The armor is somehow worse. The armor is made out of really rubbery plastic,  and the shoulders will not stay on. They attached with rubber clips that will not stay connected. The back of the armor won't close right either. The detail on the armor, sword, and shield are great, but it's just like putting lipstick on a pig. The figure is just underwhelming overall, and nothing can change that.

   He looks cool with his weapon and shield in hand, but for $50 ? He is such a rip off. It's like they wanted to copy the Myth Cloth line, but didn't want to spend any money. Most of his armor comes off, but it makes the figure look even worse. I don't even know what to say,  this guy was such a let down. Asstastic Sky Armor- 2/10! Do not want!

Metamor Figure - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: Haruhi Suzumiya Bunny Ver. 1.5 1/8 Complete Figure

I believe I've mentioned it before, but Haruhi is mai waifu. I suppose this answers why I have written so many Haruhi related blogs. Does this make Lelouch mai husbando ? Shhhhh. . .  Anyway this figure popped up for $15, and I knew it was meant for me. It came with my giant order from Amiami.

What the Metamor on this figure means is that the statue can meta-morph into a different color, and gain or lose the stockings. A neat feature right? Here's what it looks like out of the box.

   Yes, she appears to have been raped. Or fondled by me as I attempted to set her up. She's beautiful, and as Kyon said "sticks out in all the right places." The ass and tits on this are perfectly done, along with her gleeful maniacal expression. To change her colors, just run her under warm or cold water.

   In my brilliance, I decided to put her in front of my space heater to attempt to change her color. The front of the base melted, and her legs turned to jelly before I realized this was a dumb idea, and ran her under water. This is a cool idea though,  it adds to the already high score I would have give this figure. The plastic stand piece hooks on her arm to give her balance, though it took me a bit to catch this. Metamor Haruhi Bunny Girl- 9/10! No it's back to crying about season 3.

Revoltech 091! Vash the Stampede, The Humanoid Typhoon himself.

I bought a Vash the Stampede figure from the old McFarlane line before I had ever seen the anime, his design was just so sick. I did later watch the anime and enjoyed it. Then came a manga, which was a mess to say the least, from the art work to the plot structure. Still, regardless of what happened between me and the series, I knew someday I would see this figure for a reasonable price and get him. That day was a few weeks ago, and now here he is!

Vash is such a cool design, I believe he still holds up today. The red duster is extremely cool, and a gunslinger in old west fashion never goes out of style. Well that's what I feel anyway. I believe this was released to promote that horrible Trigun Badlands Rumble film. There's a Wolfwood too, but why get the second best?

Well well, what a nice looking figure! He comes with a stand, a few extra hands (including the gun hand, a gun,two effect parts, two faces and a beat up brick wall. The best part of all this is Vash himself. The sculpt looks amazing, rare for a human revoltech. Well plant, whatever he is.

I love the blast effect for the gun, it looks like a mini sun. The gun is well detailed, same with the gun arm. I think Vash works as a Revoltech well due to his robotic looking pants and arm. The ends of the duster are segmented too, though they do fall off easily. They look simply amazing in person.

I adore the wall with this guy, he looks so stoic and bad ass posed on top of it. Like an eagle looking for his prey. It's kind of difficult to pose on top, but once you get it, it's worth all the effort. Fan out the ends of his duster, and you can almost see the breeze on planet Gunsmoke. Revoltech 091 Vash the Stampede- 9/10! Why aren't all Revoltechs this beautiful ?

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 DX Assembly Style Figure Part.2 -Special Color Ver.- C.C. Inner Wear Version (Game-prize) Holy fuck, what a name!

Damn, I've been slacking on this blogging lately. It's mostly due to being addicted to Persona 3, and lethargic from the cold and lack of energy drinks. Still The time has come, and so I have, to write more of these wonderful wordy things called blogs.
                                                                                                                                        
I believe one can never have too many big titted anime figures, so when this C.C. popped up on amiami for $30, I did not hesitate to buy her. I mean CC is hot, and this outfit is on fire. So let's get onto the usual fare shall we ?

As you can tell from the box, it's a game prize! It also shows the other version, with her black outfit from the beginning of R2. I don't know which one I prefer actually, but this was the only one on Amiami, so the choice was made for me. I tore her out of her package at the speed of light after these were taken.

 Yes, she is gorgeous! I love the outfit, from the tight top, to the slightly undone shorts, to the gogo boots. This figure is hot! The pearly white on the outfit is a nice touch, it really makes this figure shine like a diamond. The pose is sexy, and I love the hair flailing in the air. The only thing I dislike are the ends of her hair being translucent, they look like those neon straws I buy to drink my coffee through. Still, this is an amazing figure. 9/10! If you see it cheap, buy it why not ?
