Steins; Gate Dual Figma Review- 196 Okabe Rintarou and Kurisu Makise

I finally got around to playing Steins;Gate a few weeks ago, so it was a foregone conclusion that I would buy at least a  Kurisu Figma,  and possibly a Rintarou one. I've wanted Kurisu for awhile, but my lack of fandom towards the series held me back. When I beat the game, I picked both of them up cheap on Amiami for $25 each. I had to wait a few days for the original Kurisu, I preferred her look to the all white Lab coat version.

I've noticed in collection threads online, so many people have both of these figures. Is Steins:Gate really that popular ? Its a good anime and a great game, so I can see why. At least it never reached Attack on Titan levels of saturation, or Sword Art Online levels. The boxes remind me of somewhere between Archers Reality Marble and an Old Lady's bathroom. Noice.

Kurisu has a nice design, she's pretty kawaii, yet stoic at the same time. I like her short shorts mixed with the tights, and her coat that she can't wear properly sets it all off. She comes with a traffic directing stick/ dildo/ light saber, folded arms, cellphone attached to hand, and Dr. Lepper hand.
Coats don't work that way, but dat ass.
Okabe shops at Big Lots.

I like where this is going.

It's not like I like Dr.Lepper or anything . Baka.
Kurisu is a solid figure, especially considering how cheap you can get her these days. The colors are fitting, the sculpt is solid, and she's easy on the eyes. This is an amazing figure for fans of Kurisu, or Tsunderes in general.I give her a 9/10.

Now it's time for Hyouin Kyoma, the mad scientist of Steins;Gate. Or Okabe Ritnaro to his friends. He has a sweet ass Labcoat, arms with nub hands so he hand hide his disability from the common man, an invention of his, and the cellphone that activates the legendary Steins;Gate. He comes with bare fee and removable slippers, and dress shoes, because he is a classy bastard.

Okabe is a really cool figure, he looks amazing in his mad scientist poses, and the facial expressions perfectly offset those movements. I love the detail on his face, and appears just like he did in the anime. He looks great in any pose, but the more eccentric the better. Okabe Rintaro- 9/10!

What has Science done?

I'm pretty bad updating this blog, but I swear I'll always come back when I get a new toy. Expect Figma Guyver, Figuarts Master Asia, Masterpiece Star Saber,Figma Homura, and possibly Figuarts Brolly when they are released. I'm pretty burned out from school these days, and I don't get any significant portions of time off til December 12th. Then it's back at it from January 13th til August 6th. Please kill me, thanks. At least I'll finally finish my Bachelors and my 2nd associates.

To Aru Majutsu no Index II Figma 111 Kamijou Touma! You're not living your life correctly unless you own him.

I've always had a special spot in my heart for Touman. He's a wuss, looks like Ikki from Air Gear, and he always tries to help others despite not having much in the way of super powers, in a world where everyone does. His price has gone up from his initial release, but I manged to snag one for $35. Not too shabby. Now someone can correctly my other toys who have strayed from the beaten path.

Touma is the rare school boy in a line that largely covers school girls. Touma's design isn't anything special, he has a sleepy looking face, kind of cool shoes, and an untucked dress shirt. Still, he does have two parts for image breaker, one offensive, and one defensive. He also comes with a school bag to help block attacks.

The sculpt is dead on, and it includes Touma's usually sleepy face, and his action face. His action face is when he's giving speeches to others on how they should live their lives. Especially those that aren't living them correctly. Many people fall into this range, unfortunately. Anyway he's alright, but the real fun is pairing him with other Figmas.

Don't mess with Touma bitches. Now here's someone who lives their life on the righteous path.

Touma is pretty solid, albeit nothing special. I'll give him a 7/10. He's a must have for Index fans, it just sucks his price has inflated. Index herself can be found pretty cheap, though I don't care enough to buy her personally. It doesn't look like we're getting a season 3 anytime soon, but maybe Heavy Objects will be alright. Who knows. At least 3 cours of Durarara makes me moist.

Pokemon Plastic Model Collection No.36 Select Series - Mega Charizard X Plastic Model The Best Megavolution yet!

I've thought Mega Charizard X was the coolest looking Mega evolution since I first saw him. I didn't buy X though because I didn't have a 3DS, but my friend had an extra copy and sold it to me cheap.  So I went and picked up a 2DS cheap, and now I never play it. I saw the Model for Mega Charizard X for $9 on Amiami, so naturally I couldn't resist. Now here he is in all his plastic glory!

Contained in the box are two kit trees and some stickers. This being a Pokemon kit, I expected it to be quick, easy, and have an assload of stickers. That was exactly what I received! To complete, this kit took me 30 minutes give or take.

He's actually cooler than I thought he would be. The stickers on his translucent plastic pieces really set off the colors and blend into a sweet looking fire. He has stickers out the ass, but they seem to have better adhesive than Ho-oh did, which is definitely a plus. Still, this design is hit or miss, and your mileage may vary. I give him an 8/10. He he is with his brother Ho-oh, whose ass he could easily kick.

Tokusatsu Revoltech No.052 Iron Man Mark. 21- The Joys of shiny repaints.

After the underwhelming Revoltech Mark 42, I have no idea why I bought this guy. He's a Gold Repaint of the Mark 7 Revoltech, and comes with almost no accessories, the same as the Mark 42, But here he is, sitting on my shelf staring at me with a look of begging, he wants me to review him. I will you bastard, I will.

This armor is being called the Mark 21, but it's a super Shiny Armor reffered to as "Midas" after the king who turned everything he touches into gold. Apparently it's used for Space Exploration, but why the fuck would it be gold ? Well in any case it certainly looks cool.
Kaiyodo was generous on the accessories, that is for sure. Two blasts, four extra hands, and two blast effect parts. The suit itself looks alright, but the stand sucks and it's hard to pull off cool poses without it. He looks decent in a static pose due to the different shades of gold on him. The sculpt is fine, but the gaps in the abdomen and odd knee angles bother me. Just check him in action poses.
How does I fight evil?

I mean he isn't terrible, but the knees look horrible bent in any angle other than the front. I do like the detail on this guy, and his back flaps open up for flight or take off. He's cool, but just a bit plain. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but at least he wasn't $70 like the Figma. I give him a 5/10, but maybe a bit higher if you are a hardcore Iron Man fiend. He probably looks great surrounded by his Revoltech brethren.

Don't lose your Waaaaaayy! I needed these Today! Figma 220 Ryuuko Matoi Coming your Way!

It's been over a month since I wrote one of these. Time flies when you're miserable at school doesn't it ? I received a package on Friday from the usual place, but I had a bunch of homework and shit I had to slog through over the past two days. Fuck college sideways with a rusty spoon. Here's the haul, full of Figma goodies for me!

Now that is a thing of beauty, and all of these things are awesome, except for Iron Man. I'll bitch about him later though. For now, it's Kill la Kill time.

I really enjoyed Kill la Kill while it was airing, and while caught up in the hype I ordered The Figma and Beach Queens Ryuuko because she was hot. Now that the hype is over I still enjoy Ryuuko's design (She's smexy), but I'll probably never buy another Kill la Kill figure. Unless it comes with a Bonus Inferno cop figma that is. Anyway Ryuuko is Figma 220, the coloring on the box matches her hair and outfit, and looks damn good.Time to tear it open to get the prize inside.

Whoa, I didn't know she came with both sides of the scissor blade. I couldn't get them to connect, but whatever, dual wielding is much cooler. As for the figure, the sculpt and paint job are dead on and gorgeous. Ryuuko's underboob is perfectly represented for all you hot glue enthusiasts around to enjoy. As per the standard, she comes with a hand tree and a stand. The stand keeps her from LOSING HER WAYYYYYY!

Ryuuko comes with some nice groping hands and what can either be a struggling or schlicking face, depending on your preferences. This may be the lewdest Figma I've ever owned, move over whoever the previous champ was.

In any case, this is a solid Figma. She looks great in any pose, especially when holding either half of her scissor blade.  The breast suspenders restrict your movement, but not enough to be an issues. Ryuuko looks awesome on any shelf, she can whip the rest of your figures into shape. Figma Ryuuko Matoi- 9/10. No, I won't buy Satsuki, don't ask,
Both Flavors of Ryuuko! Baddest girl you know, and Kawaii beach bunny.
